I have a Motorola XOOM and because I have a Google Voice number it allows me to make calls and text on my XOOM without any extra cost besides my data package. The package I have is only $30 for 2 Gigabytes and if I go over I will be charged $10 a Gigabyte.
The application I use to make calls works over 3G, 4G and wifi so it always works and it allows me to surf and talk at the same time. I also added the application on my Motorola Droid X and with that application I also can talk and surf the web the same time.
I realize this 4G network race will change how we use or devices. The voice part of mobile phone will not be needed anymore. Video Talk

Yesterday I went to a presentation for Video Talk. The company is a multilevel company that sells a technology to use video in emails, web shows, video conferencing with up to sixteen users and presentations.
The meeting was all about how much money you could make but nothing about the technology behind the service.

I found a technical guy who showed me how it works and it did work great. I had a email sent to me and in the email the video was already embedded with a great customized template. I also went to a site that had the videos on it and the both work flawlessly. The videos work with Flash so it won’t work on iPhones or iPads and that seem funny because the company gives out iPads as prizes.

I like the concept and the compensation package but I think they will have to battle all the new free technologies like Skype, Tango and others for this growing market.

There price is $49. 99 per month for all of the features. I can do some of the services they offer now for free but not as fancy as the embedded video or the template but I can do for free.
The best feature was the 16 person videoconferencing but I did not see a example of that service.

handy logs fitness app

This is a cool way of tracking your workout progress. Handy logs fitness app on the Blackberry app world. The application is free and you can sync it with there website allowing you to track your progress online and from your Blackberry.

Today was the first day I tried it out. I entered each set of each exercise after the set with the reps, weight used and a description of the exercise equipment used.

Below is a sample of what I get from Handy Logs. I copied this information using the Bolt browser and pasted the info into the WordPress application on my Blackberry.

GPS on WordPress, Twitter and other applications

I had a thought today that was more than 40 characters and I wanted that thought to be published on the web with its GPS and a picture I took outside. I had a number of options, I tried the quickest first and after my work out I am writing this post now doing cardio with my Blackberry and the WordPress application second option choice.

The first attempt to get my thought across with GPS in the Twitter applications I have on my Blackberry. Twitter for Blackberry and Ubertwitter. I went with Ubertwitter and my twitter account Curtis Matthews Twiiter accountIt allowed me to take a picture and post a note less than 140 characters.
I remember the application asking me during the initial setup about which GPS option I wanted, I want with cell towers the first and default choice. I am trying to save the draft now but the GPS did not work the first time.
Ok now the second attempt did not but when I got into my car it let me post. Its now 9:10am in front of LA Fitness. I will add my picture I took of the front when I first came in.

WordPress Applicaton upgrade

I download an upgrade for my WordPress application on my Blackberry 9700.
I just took a short video clip of inside the store here in Weston Florida to see if it uploads properly with this application. Before the upgrade I really could not add video with this app from the Blackberry.

It still does not work to upload video taken with the Blackberry.

The error message says:
Blog message (code 500) could not write file test-video.3GP (invalid file type)

Universal Studios New Years Eve 2009

Last year we went to Universal Studios Orlando for New Years Eve. I decided this would be the best time to try out may Video capabilities of the Blackberry Bold 9700. The video taken below is the Macys Parade at Universal Studios in Orlando on New Years Eve. The whole video is a little over 15 minutes. I posted the Video up on the web from my Blackberry Bold 9700 with the QIK application. The QIK application only work to upload videos already taken with my 9700 the app has problems and is not working to allow me to stream live video like I did before with my Blackberry Bold 9000 with the QIK application. But this video was uploaded and will give you a good sense of the quality of the video camera for the Blackberry Bold 9700.

My last training day before Thanksgiving

Today I did my first mat pilates class. First I did about 10 sets of pull ups, and then I took the pilates class. All my years of weight training, I never stretched properly so I thought that pilates class would benefit me. I did exercises and stretching that I never did before. I see the benefits from stretching so I’m deciding to take that class as much as I can with time permitting. Since they class starts so late I only can take it on my days off and my days off are not consistent so the class may or may not be available that day. Tonight I planned to take a different class, I’m going with my stepdaughter Rebecca to do a body shape in class. This class uses light weights with aerobics. Hopefully these different exercises we’ll help stimulate different muscles in my body. I need to continue to grow if I want to compete in a natural body building competition.

This post was completely done by a speech recognition software that I have on my Sony laptop. So this is basically a test, hopefully I will get much better at this allowing me to do more post to my Blogs.

WordPress app for iphone

I did a post earlier today with the WordPress application that I downloaded to me Apple iPhone but it did not save. I am only using the web with wifi because I had a Blackberry Bold before and I did not change the data feature as yet. So everything that I wrote before did not save I thought it saved because I was able to go back and edit what I wrote before but now that I wanted to publish what I had written with the pictures, ii do not know where the text had gone.
