Posting video with WordPress application on Motorola Xoom

Yesterday I went to a presentation for Video Talk. The company is a multilevel company that sells a technology to use video in emails, web shows, video conferencing with up to sixteen users and presentations.
The meeting was all about how much money you could make but nothing about the technology behind the service.

I found a technical guy who showed me how it works and it did work great. I had a email sent to me and in the email the video was already embedded with a great customized template. I also went to a site that had the videos on it and the both work flawlessly. The videos work with Flash so it won’t work on iPhones or iPads and that seem funny because the company gives out iPads as prizes.

I like the concept and the compensation package but I think they will have to battle all the new free technologies like Skype, Tango and others for this growing market.

There price is $49. 99 per month for all of the features. I can do some of the services they offer now for free but not as fancy as the embedded video or the template but I can do for free.
The best feature was the 16 person videoconferencing but I did not see a example of that service.

My brother told me the other day that I have the strongest chicken legs he has ever seen. So I decided to have a video taken of myself doing the leg press machine at La Fitness in Tampa. I wore my Verizon Wireless cap to also try and promote myself as the Verizon Guy in Tampa but the person taking the video did not do the best job. I was hoping by posting this video to Youtube, Qik, Facebook and this Blog I will get a lot of hits promoting my business selling Verizon Wireless Products and Services in Tampa, Florida.

I want to do quick video post using my cell phone to take the video and then uploading from the phone to YouTube so it can be used on my Blog.

My options are I can take a short video now with my Blackberry Bold 9700 and MMS the video to YouTube. The video is sent as a multimedia message to YouTube and the anyone can see your video on YouTube. After the video is uploaded to Youtube it can be link to websites and or Blogs.

The issue I have is that a MMS video is only 30 seconds and the quality is not as good as the higher resolution videos that can be taken with the Blackberry Bold 9700. A normal video can be a few minutes long or as long as you have room on your media card.

I have a few other ways to upload longer and better quality videos to YouTube. First is to take a good quality video with the phone which is recorded on the SD card. Then take my SD media card use the SD adapter to upload the video from my laptop or desktop to YouTube.

Secondly is using my Motorola Backflip it let’s me upload videos taken with it directly to YouTube without the 30 second restriction. I am sure it has something to do with Google owning Android mobile operating system and Youtube. My first test was a 5 minute video I took waiting for the draw bridge to open.

I have told clients about that option with Android Smartphones but there success has been with videos under 30 seconds when the video is a few minutes long they have to have a WiFi connection for the video to upload.

I found a fix for that using Qik. I used to use Qik with my Blackberry Bold 9000 but now that I use a Blackberry Bold 9700 the Qik application on the 9700 is not supported. I still download the Qik application through my Blackberry browser and used it to upload the video that I already had taken.
I am going to caution anyone who does this, it is not supported.I know that I have to stop right after and close the application and then I do a hard reset but I am the Mobile Wise Guy of Cell Phones. After uploading the video I embed it into my Blog.

I relocated, and my new life is now starting to take shape in Tampa Florida. After all of the confusion of moving and looking for business opportunities things are just starting to normalize. I know that I am a very diligent and hard worker, I love my work and I am great at what I do, because I am very knowledgeable of all the products, and I am a people person.
Almost all my clients that I have dealt with over the years and who are still faithful to me would attest to my sincerity and knowledge of product and service.

That brings me to my business now, I have been a wireless consultant for most of my life. I coined that name back in the late 80s when multiple wireless providers started to come on the scene. When looking for different business opportunities I look into this company Cellular Sales and liked what I heard and saw so I decided to become an independent contractor for Cellular Sales the largest indirect agent for Verizon Wireless in the United States.

Cellular Sales has over 300 store nationwide and has plans to have over 1000 stores in the next few years and I want to be a part of that growth. My experience, background and some mentoring by the elite Cellular Sales associates should propel me within this company.
The most important thing I could do is to market myself so I can sell a lot of Verizon Wireless cell phones first then train people (other independent contractors) to sell a lot of Verizon phones then finaly duplicate this process with others.
I want to use technology and the web to gain clients and promote my business. Over the years I have earned the name Wireless Consultant on the first page of Google and Verizon Wireless Consultant on the first page of Google and yesterday I realized I also have Verizon Cellular Consultant on Google also. What does that mean and how can I use it to benefit me to sell a lot of cell phones for Verizon? I am in the process of seeking a good web person to help me with social media. I will write about my experiences and how I am achieving my goal here on my personal Blog.

This is a cool way of tracking your workout progress. Handy logs fitness app on the Blackberry app world. The application is free and you can sync it with there website allowing you to track your progress online and from your Blackberry.

Today was the first day I tried it out. I entered each set of each exercise after the set with the reps, weight used and a description of the exercise equipment used.

Below is a sample of what I get from Handy Logs. I copied this information using the Bolt browser and pasted the info into the WordPress application on my Blackberry.

I started back a few weeks ago using Google Adwords to promote some of my websites. I should of started back in February when I got contacted by Tangowire. Tangowire wanted to assist me in creating good landing pages for Google Adwords. I first had to understand what landing pages where.

Landing pages is the page that a person is directed too after clicking the ad you created in Google Adwords. The landing page should be specific to what your ad is promoting to work effectively. If  I am promoting a Gay Dating site my ad will speak about Gay and Lesbian dating and I would make my ad’s landing page show gay couples, you would not put straight couples on the landing page because it would not make sense that I would click a link that is suppose to take me to a Gay Dating Site. The better the landing page relates to the Ad in Google the better position that Ad will get, mean more clicks and hopefully more conversions. Conversions is when some clicks your Ad and purchases a product or service from the website you are promoting.

So its been about three weeks now and I have spent only $50 on Google Adwords so far. I have gotten more clicks this last few week and a few new free members but no conversions. A few years ago I spent hundreds of dollars every few months with Google, Yahoo and MSN ads. I broke even sometimes but really never saw a profit. Now I have a better understanding, I hope to make this venture profitable.

I had a thought today that was more than 40 characters and I wanted that thought to be published on the web with its GPS and a picture I took outside. I had a number of options, I tried the quickest first and after my work out I am writing this post now doing cardio with my Blackberry and the WordPress application second option choice.

The first attempt to get my thought across with GPS in the Twitter applications I have on my Blackberry. Twitter for Blackberry and Ubertwitter. I went with Ubertwitter and my twitter account Curtis Matthews Twiiter accountIt allowed me to take a picture and post a note less than 140 characters.
I remember the application asking me during the initial setup about which GPS option I wanted, I want with cell towers the first and default choice. I am trying to save the draft now but the GPS did not work the first time.
Ok now the second attempt did not but when I got into my car it let me post. Its now 9:10am in front of LA Fitness. I will add my picture I took of the front when I first came in.

The next few weeks Jaron Freeman and I will be working with Frank Madison our web guy. Our goal is to start up a Ebay and or Amazon affiliate store.
An Ebay affiliate store is not the same as having a Ebay account where you sell your goods or services. The Ebay affiliate store will allow us to sell any and all products from Ebay and get a commission from that sale.

Personally this is a brand new area for me, I do have a regular Ebay account.
I brought and sold only a few items on Ebay and recently wanted to put Blackberry devices for sale on it, but when I saw what the completion was selling these Blackberry devices for, I could not compete.

The Ebay affiliate store is not supposed to be easy to get but Frank Madison is sure we will eventually get approval for it. In the mean time we will also submit for a Amazon affiliate store, not being as good as a Ebay store but definitely worth it. The big difference is the cookies on Ebay last 30 days and on Amazon the cookies last 24 hours.

What I was told by Frank that these cookies mean that if that customer buys anything from Ebay during the 30 days we will earn an affiliate commission from Ebay. Amazon the cookies are only for 24 hours, so the customer must make that purchase within that time if we are to get a Amazon affiliate commission.

I always wanted to do a business venture with my friend Jaron and this was a great opportunity for us to partner up our resources and hopefully make a profit$$$$. Jaron introduced me to Frank and so far he has set up the design for My Mobile phone BlogMobileWiseguy.com

Now its all in Franks hands at this time but I will post the progress and our status here on my Blog.

Today is 4/24/10 and it seems this venture will be done by myself Jaron Freeman never paid the 50% to start this venture with Frank. I spoke to Frank yesterday and the site that will be submitted for approval should be up at the beginning of next week.

Make sure your landing page refers directly to the ad copy that drove the click.  If your ad is for Single Parents your landing page will want to be written and have visuals the single parent can relate to. Match your language as exactly as you can. This way you keep your visitor oriented and engaged. This is by far the most important part of your landing page.

2.

Provide a clear call to action. Whether you use graphic buttons or hot-linked text (or both), tell your visitor what they need to do. We recommend 2 calls to action on your landing page. So, Join Now Free and Search are two calls to action.

3.

Be crystal clear in your goals. Keep your description copy on point as a logical progression from your headline and offer.

4.

Write to the screen. Take a piece of paper and frame-out where your text, buttons, and design elements will go. Keep the landing page short so all your content will be seen “above the fold” a visitor will make a decision about your site in less than 3 seconds.

5.

Remove all extraneous matter from your landing page. Like visual clutter and links to other sections. You want the visitor focused solely on your copy, your supportive visual, and the offer you’re making without being tempted to wander elsewhere.
