The Power of Positive Service-Oriented Thoughts

Our minds are constantly buzzing with activity, generating a continuous stream of thoughts that shape our perceptions, emotions, and actions. While the exact number of thoughts we have each day is difficult to quantify, estimates suggest that we experience tens of thousands of mental impressions daily. These thoughts range from conscious, deliberate considerations to fleeting, subconscious flickers.

The quality of our thoughts profoundly impacts our well-being and our interactions with the world around us. Negative thoughts can lead to feelings of anxiety, stress, and self-doubt, while positive thoughts promote optimism, resilience, and a sense of purpose.

In this realm of mental activity, cultivating a mindset of service to others holds immense power. When we focus our thoughts on helping and supporting those around us, we not only contribute to the betterment of our communities but also enhance our own happiness and fulfillment.

Here are some compelling reasons to embrace positive service-oriented thoughts:

  1. Expanding Our Perspective: By shifting our attention from our own concerns to the needs of others, we broaden our perspective and gain a deeper understanding of the world around us. This shift in focus allows us to appreciate the interconnectedness of humanity and recognize the impact we can have on others’ lives.
  2. Building Meaningful Connections: Service-oriented thoughts foster empathy and compassion, enabling us to connect with others on a deeper level. When we genuinely care about the well-being of others, we naturally seek opportunities to support and uplift them, strengthening our relationships and fostering a sense of belonging.
  3. Enhancing Personal Growth: Engaging in acts of service provides opportunities for personal growth and development. As we step outside our comfort zones to help others, we gain new skills, expand our knowledge, and cultivate a sense of purpose that enriches our lives.
  4. Promoting Emotional Well-being: Research suggests that helping others can boost our happiness levels and reduce stress. The act of giving back triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals, and fosters a sense of accomplishment and self-worth.
  5. Creating a Ripple Effect of Positivity: When we extend kindness and generosity to others, we inspire them to do the same, creating a ripple effect of positivity that extends far beyond our individual actions. Our positive service-oriented thoughts can ignite a chain reaction of compassion and goodwill, transforming communities and societies.

As we navigate the complexities of life, let us remember the transformative power of positive service-oriented thoughts. By consciously directing our mental energy towards acts of kindness and compassion, we not only elevate the lives of others but also enrich our own existence, creating a world where empathy, understanding, and mutual support flourish.

The soup I make (healthy)

This is a soup I made with mostly vegetables. I took pictures of my ingredients and steps while making the soup.

I cut up a carrot, potato and half a onions.

These are some frozen beans I use in the soup.
Cabbage is my favorite ingredient to make this a weight loss soup.
These are the seasonings I use in the soup. I don’t add any other seasonings.

I cook my soup on a 2 burner stove that I use because fire cooks better. This burner is located in my kitchen. On the burner I am also boiling a few eggs for the protein in the soup.

The first ingredient I add to the water while boiling is the Maggie vegetable bullion. I like this seasoning instead of the chicken or beef bullion but it is a mater of taste or choice.

I boil my eggs along side of the soup.

The first vegetables I put in the boiling water are the potatoes, carrots and onions. After about 5 minutes I add the frozen vegetables and a little Sazon seasoning.

Potatoes, carrots and onions.

The cabbage is the last vegetable I add because I like the cabbage to be more crisp. If I add the cabbage earlier it gets a little to soggy for me.

Cabbage added last and I boil for 5 more minutes.

I sometimes add noodles to my soup and today I will use bean noodles.

Bean noodles

The bean noodles do not need to be added to the boiling soup I put a portion in my bowl that I intend to eat my soup in the add the soup.

Bean noodles in the bowl.

I also added 2 boiled eggs to the soup and this is optional but I do it for the protein.

The vegetable soup with eggs use a spoon and fork to eat and enjoy.

Blogging my blog what is it?

August 3rd 2020

It is 5:19am and I picked up my iPad and decided to look at the WordPress application. I have not opened this app on my iPad more than 5 times. The application would not save or open anything from the site. It took me months to figure out it was a sign in from WordPress.com with a central signing in system that was overriding what sign in I was doing on the iPad. I could post from my phones and on the web.

I think my last post was done from a Android phone on Dunedin causeway beach during the beginning of what I hear is termed the Pandemic. This post is not to give an opinion in either political, social, religious or any other type of view on the Pandemic. This is another subject that I can write about later. This post is me seeing if blogging is something for me.

My writing skills are very not good but I will get better with practice so please excuse the grammatical errors. I know there must be a spell check and grammar check add on. I like taking pictures with my phone which currently is a Samsung S8 plus Android smartphone. My pictures and videos are automatically backed up to Google Photos.

So looking back at my last post I see the date was May 9th a Saturday and this was at the beginning of businesses and areas closing down by the government. There was one guy with a mask on the beach but I said this post is not about the above choices. This post is about writing, blogging or keeping a journal. I do not really know but what I do understand is that I can keep a record or say anything without being censored. My platform is my name Curtis Matthews that is what I was the name given for others to identify me. The other platforms for this on the web are Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to name a few. These platforms are censored by there members and creators. Another name for these platforms is social media.
